Seafood
For seafood lovers, Kota Kinabalu must be a heaven. Seafood in Kota Kinabalu is not only fresh but it’s also cheap.

Few established seafood restaurants to choose from such as Port View Seafood Village, Ocean Seafood Restaurant, Garden Seafood Restaurant and Grand Port View, all are strategically located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu and within walking distance.

Scallop – RM40 / kg
Butter Tiger Prawn – RM18 each
Prawn – RM 40 / kg

Note: Appetizers and wet tissue is chargeable. The coconut pudding served inside a coconut shelve is a must try, RM 6.60 each.

Local Food
Nasi Goreng (fried rice), Mee Goreng (fried noodles), Nasi Lemak, Mee Rebus, Roti Canai are some local food to try out. One of the famous restaurant among the locals is Salim Restaurant located in Lintas.

Tanjung Aru Beach is another good place to try out local food with numerous of food stalls offering various local specialties food.
