The accommodation buildings together with the laboratory and meeting hall were completed in 1986. Staff quarters and a visitor’s reception centre were added in 1988. The third phase of construction which includes a 48 seat kitchen/dining block, a set of office/meeting rooms and a 40m observation tree platform was completed in 1991. The Centre has running water, and 220V AC electricity is provided from a generator for about 17 hours each day.

Other facilities include:-

* More than 50 km of marked trails in the forest
* Two self-guided nature trails, with more than 300 labelled trees in dipterocarp, riverine and logged forest habitats. Interpretive booklets are on sale.
* T-shirts, leech socks, books, postcards, beer and soft drinks, etc. available for sale. Also, a checklist of vertebrates.
* Helipad, first aid kit and emergency radio communication.
* Two badminton courts and small soccer pitch.
* Two 10m observation towers and a 40m canopy viewing platform.
